YONECO organized an economic empowerment session for women at Milepa in Chiradzulu. The participants were urged to develop a culture of saving and investing. Among other things, the women were encouraged to join or form Village Savings and Loans (#VSL) groups in their area. We believe this is a crucial step towards helping women to transition away from dependency.
Joining VSL groups helps community members to save money for future business ventures. We are wishing the best of luck to the 20 inspiring women who attended the session! Together, we can achieve great things.
